Ascea
The
territory of Ascea-Velia, in the heart of the National Park of Cilento
and Vallo di Diano, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea at Marina di Ascea
has been included in the UNESCO biosphere reserve, and included in the
MAB program for the conservation of diversity biodiversity, promoting economic development and safeguarding of cultural values attached.
These values are linked to nature and history that distinguish an area so rich in attractions for tourists traveling. Of
extraordinary beauty is the coast whose beaches are caressed by a sea,
already praised by Virgil and awarded the Blue Flag and Sail of
Legambiente.
In the southern part
of marina are a few examples, today very rare dune where the
Mediterranean sea lily blooms, while the Ginestra of Cilento is on the rocks
of Punta Telegrafo whose apex stands the tower, which dominates today a
landscape dotted by beautiful beaches, splendid coves and romantic gorges.
The
depths of Silver Bay, and Bay of Rondinelle behind the "Scuoglio rinanti" reveal the amazing underwater worlds diving enthusiasts.
From
the sea by looking to the mainland can be seen the immense stretches of
centuries-old olive trees which produces an oil whose reputation is
further enhanced through the national circuit of Oil City.
